It's important that Apple and Google apply some flexibility to the App. The QR code works very well (I'm in England) and we have 22.2 million users of the app. Many use it because of QR codes. People can make a decision on what to share so Apple and Google should allow users if they want to to upload venue information to protect others. It is after all a manual intervention by the user to release the data. COVID-19 is a disease that is killing millions globally and this simple improvement would allow an end user to submit this information rather than having to provide it slowly over a phone then have it processed whilst others are spreading the virus. My brother is dyslexic. He won't be happy having to read out a list to a contact tracer when a click of a button provides the information. Disability isn't being taken into account. It's OK to make the rule on the Bluetooth codes but governments should be able to add extra functionality to contact tracing apps to help contain the virus. The need for ...
