The court of Salé (Rabat twin city) sentenced Farid Essabar, 19, to two years in jail and his friend Achraf Bahloul, 22, to one year, both for creating and spreading the Zotob worm, which attacked, last year, more than 100 US companies, including CNN and the New York Times. The two young men were arrested following a request from FBI, which had tracked the worm and discovered that it was unleashed from a web site in Morocco. The authorities, which said that the tow young men had an accomplice in Turkey, sued them for "conspiracy, aggravated theft, using forged bank cards and illegal access to computer systems."
