Netsky.K: Vandaag is het Netsky dag

De berichten die virusschrijvers in hun virussen achterlaten vormen een bron van speculatie voor anti-virusbedrijven. Zo maakte de auteur van het Netsky virus onlangs bekend dat er geen nieuwe varianten meer zouden verschijnen. Een dag na deze onthulling verscheen echter de L-variant, die volgens virusexperts mogelijk door iemand anders is geschreven of aangepast. En de wormoorlog lijkt nog niet voorbij, want dit bericht in de K-variant van Netsky: "The 11th of march is the skynet day," doet virusonderzoekers van Panda Software vermoeden dat de auteur een nieuwe aanval van plan is. Dan had ze ook de hele boodschap in Netsky.K kunnen lezen die luide:
